{"id":2733,"date":"2007-05-19T11:26:00","date_gmt":"2007-05-19T11:26:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/elizaphanian.com\/?p=2733"},"modified":"2007-05-19T11:26:00","modified_gmt":"2007-05-19T11:26:00","slug":"be-the-change-you-want-to-see","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elizaphanian.com\/?p=2733","title":{"rendered":"Be the change you want to see"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Challenging words, but beloved and I have been thinking a lot about them recently, and &#8211; with a bit of humming and hawing we&#8217;re probably going to sign up to the 90% reduction plan (see <a href=\"http:\/\/casaubonsbook.blogspot.com\/2007\/05\/making-change-90-emissions-reduction.html\">here<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Seems like every day <a href=\"http:\/\/climateprogress.org\/2007\/05\/18\/2007-hottest-year-on-record-so-far\/\">there are things bringing it home<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_h8lco0yxl-k\/Rk7hRe6dwSI\/AAAAAAAAA1U\/FSlzwra_kTM\/s1600-h\/april2007temp.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_h8lco0yxl-k\/Rk7hRe6dwSI\/AAAAAAAAA1U\/FSlzwra_kTM\/s400\/april2007temp.gif\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The world is changing around us. Because we (ie western society) are so rich we can put off the day of reckoning for a little longer than most, but that just means that the reckoning will be all the harsher when it comes.
