A thought about Dale Farm

It’s not enough to ‘uphold the law’. There is all the difference in the world between telling Tesco’s they don’t have permission to open a supermarket and evicting a child from the only home that they have ever known. Nor is it simply that the burden of proof is so much higher – it is a question of mercy tempering the justice. Here there is no mercy or creativity or even clear-sightedness. I wonder if this is the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit?
