Deanery Synod

The travelling roadshow took itself off to Deanery Synod on Wednesday night, to give a talk about Peak Oil. Substantially the same talk will be given this Saturday morning at Learning Church, tho’ with a few tweaks, as in the Synod talk I flagged up the link with prophecy and Brueggemann (see key post ‘prophecy and peak oil’ on the right).

The material is going to get put up online before too long (including a streaming audio on the Mersea website).

However, in the meantime, have a look here which speaks to where I am at the moment: “In a nutshell, you keep pointing at the anomalies and failures in the old paradigm, you keep speaking louder and with assurance from the new one, you insert people with the new paradigm in places of public visibility and power. You don’t waste time with reactionaries; rather you work with active change agents and with the vast middle ground of people who are open-minded.”
